Questions about sports massage
How long is a session?
From 15 to 90 minutes. A pre-event session is 20 minutes, a full session 60, and you can add 15 or 30 minutes to any of them.
What do I wear?
What you train in, or shorts and a loose top. You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time, and only the part being worked on is uncovered.
Am I covered the whole time?
Yes. Only the part we are working on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on.
Can I stop?
Yes, at any time and for any reason. You can pause, change position or end the session, and we stop right away.
How do I set the pressure?
Before we start we ask about pressure and any area to leave alone. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer.
What is a team session?
A block of sessions booked by a coach for a squad or a roster, with a slot for every athlete. Each athlete picks a time and keeps their own session private.
How close to an event can I book?
Most athletes book the day before or the morning of, for a short, light session. Ask your coach if you are unsure, or call us.
What happens at a first visit?
You check in, your therapist asks about pressure and any area to leave alone, and then works on the areas you pick. The first visit page goes through it step by step.
What if I am ill or recovering?
If you are ill, tell us and we will move your session. If you are recovering from surgery or an injury, ask your doctor before you book.
How does pricing work?
The price is set by the length of the session and the kind of work, and the booking page shows it before you confirm. How pricing works has the details.
